Character Counts is a wonderful program to help teach our children the important ways of how to treat each other and ourselves. There are 6 pillars of ethical values (Characteristics) that is the foundation of this program, they are:
Trustworthiness
Respect
Responsibility
Fairness
Caring
Citizenship
This month we are working on “Respect”. We are going to encourage all the students to demonstrate this trait. Some examples are: getting involved in the community, being a good neighbor, obeying laws and rules, protecting the environment, etc. Also, on January 25th, we want everyone to dress in YELLOW since that is the assigned color for this pillar.
