Everyday Counts; Summary of Attendance Policy for Families

Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in a child’s academic success. When students attend school every day, they are more likely to stay on track with their learning, build strong connections with their teachers and peers, and develop positive habits that last well beyond middle school. Even a few absences can add up quickly and make it harder for students to catch up.

A summary of our Attendance Policy was recently sent home, you may also access it by clicking the link below. The summary explains what qualifies as an excused absence, when attendance becomes a concern, and the steps the school will take if a child has excessive absences. Our goal is always to partner with families so that we can support you while also making sure students are in school and learning every day.
