5th Grade

Hello!

My name is Ms. Zoie Contreras, and I am excited to be teaching 5th Grade for the 2026–2027 school year!

I have been part of the New World family for over 20 years. After graduating from New World, I began volunteering at the school before joining the staff as a substitute teacher for grades Kindergarten through High School. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the supportive environment, and I have been grateful to be a member of the NWEC family ever since.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including 5th Grade, Art, Physical Education, 6th Grade, and most recently, 3rd Grade. I am thrilled to be returning to 5th Grade this year and can't wait to share all of the exciting lessons and activities we have planned!
