About Me

Dear Parents, 

 

        I am so excited about being your child’s first-grade teacher this year! Please let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 17th year of teaching.  Although I've spent much of that time teaching at New World, I've also taught in the Alhambra and Isaac District (where I grew up).  No matter where I've taught, I can't imagine doing anything else and I'm always trying to find ways to be a little bit better.

        I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in bilingual education at Arizona State University.  I enjoy learning new things, reading, doing anything with music, playing with my daughter, and generally just hanging out with my family.

        I hope to get to know you and your family as the year goes on so that I we can give your little one the best first grade experience possible!
